Favorite Part of wakeboarding? It's impossible for me to choose a favorite part of wakeboarding- because wakeboarding to me is a lifestyle. It's waking up at 6am to get on the glassy water, lauging with your friends about how cold the water is. It's the coffee that gets you going, and the videos you watch at night. The hard crashes that wake you up, and the elated smile and satisfaction when you land that new trick. It's cheering your friends on at the top of your lungs when they get their first wake jump, or even stand up for the first time. Wakeboarding to me is the companionship you feel inside the boat during the day, sharing stories and listening to your favorite music, while watching and helping whoever is playing behind the boat. It's the time you spend together as family, friends, and aquaintances when you wash the boat, and reminicse about the set you took that day. Any day on the water is better than a day behind a desk, and I am so lucky to get to live a wakeboarding lifestyle! What are your goals for 2010? This year I am really going to focus on style. Poking out grabs, and grabbing my spins and inverts. I want to become a well rounded wakeboarder, not just a flipper! I'd really like to get all the 3's this year as well. What are you up to when your not riding? I'm studying Mechatronic Engineering at Chico State, so a lot of the time I am drinking obsene amounts of caffine and sitting in front of a TI-83 calculator and some engineering paper, with a huge book in front of my nose. Although when I have free time, I'm out training my dog, shooting skeet with my insane roomie Raequel, running in various beautiful places,or cooking up some huge feast.
