Friday night was all business at the pool, team riders and volunteers work into the night getting the rails ready for some serious jibbing. One whole side of the pool was reserved for the tent city of a whole mess of wakeboarders eager to start rippin in the morning. Saturday jibbing started at about 10am. Nor Cal riders Josh Wilson, Jeff Pearsall, Kathryn Medina, Brodie Chaboya, Al Marchiniak, Squirrel and Becky Carter kept the audience happy with some stylish slidin.  The winches were running all day long. There were three rails side by side. There was a flat bar, an A frame and giant up flat with a slight down angle. The rails were well built and a perfect playground for the riders.

I was really impressed by the wakeskaters this stop, they were really pushing up the bar. The event had a sick raffle with prizes from Arnett, Hyperlite, Bern and all kinds of other gear. By far the sickest raffle at a wakeboard contest. There were about 10 bands playing all throughout Saturday and Sunday with music from hip hop, reggae, and classic rock. The Hendrix tribute band was wild, the national anthem was played with the guitarist’s teeth. There was booths for jamba juice, wine tasting, and the aquatic center. The guys from that was rad were there capturing all the action. If you guys haven’t been to that site you really should. They are awesome people and they love the sport. Check em out at thatwasrad.com. The Cunningham Aquatic center in Vallejo is the prefect home for the Spanky Beaver Rail Jam. Special thanks to Al Marchiniak, Brodie Chaboya, the Lifegurads and the rest of the volunteers helping out at the event.
